How does the Paul Effman Music Service Work?
Learn about our program
A recruitment assembly is scheduled for the Fall. At that time, students and parents receive all information regarding the program. Students interested in playing an instrument receive lessons in small groups during time periods that are flexible so that academic time is not impacted. Limited after school programs can also be scheduled. Usually, the debut concert will be performed in the Spring of the 1st year. Students in grades 3 and up are eligible to participate in the band program. Students in grades 1 and up are eligible to participate in the string program.
The service provides highly trained educators along with a skilled manager to regularly oversee the program. Staff members are carefully selected based on their college education and performance accomplishments. Teachers receive medical and retirement benefits. Students of Paul Effman Music Service receive quality education with continuity.
Instruments are available through a rental or purchase program at rates substantially below market. The instruments involved in the school band include: Bells, Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone, and Drums, as well as many background instruments. The instruments involved in the school orchestra include: Violin, Viola, Cello, and Bass.
The cost of participation is billed directly to the parents. The school is not burdened with any record keeping. The school's only responsibility is to provide adequate teaching space.
